A Message from a Chicken

A Message from a Chicken

Yes, you heard right: a chicken! How amazing! I’d been given an assignment to do readings for 5 animals! 3 chickens, a cat, and a deceased chicken. The deceased chicken will have to wait a bit, because I always wait at least 6 months after a pet’s passing before making contact with it. I’d done readings for all the animals except one (is that how you say it? I have no idea!), and the last one was a chicken. I’d started this session a little later than planned because of the flu, and the chicken jumped right in! Normally, I always introduce myself to the animal first and explain who I’m representing, but she had something to say right away, and I’d love to share with you the beautiful message she has for all of us!

The Conversation

Kip: You were out of commission for a bit, weren’t you?! I know, I was waiting for you, but you needed some self-care. And you know, you humans get “bothered” by things so much more quickly. You need it sometimes, too. That’s funny. We animals don’t have that. We’re also much better at taking care of ourselves—managing our energy—we’re good at that. And if you guys start working on this a bit more yourselves, you’ll be “bothered” by so many things much less often.

Priscilla: Could you explain that a little more?

Kip: It all starts with energy. What belongs to you, what belongs to someone else. What you should take in, what you shouldn’t. Energy is always flowing, but with people, sometimes too much flows out of you, and sometimes you let in too much. If your energy balance isn’t right, you get sick.

Priscilla: What’s the best thing for us to do?

Kip: Make sure you don’t let in too much of other people’s energy and keep your own energy with you. Grounding, meditation, creating a protective field around yourself—but with people, focus especially on their thoughts. Because that’s your biggest energy drain. You think too much—worrying about others, dwelling on the past and the future. Regret, fear, anger, worry, sadness. It’s a wonder you don’t collapse!

Priscilla: What wise lessons!

Kip: Yes, and this is for everyone.

The conversation continued

After that, we talked about some personal matters for a bit, and then she started sharing her words of wisdom again.

Kip: Speaking of ages, do you guys ever really look at a child? How they think, play, go through life? Just like animals, really—living in the moment, not dwelling too long on something that’s already happened. Just think about it for a moment, let it go, and move on. That’s my message: take a closer look at a child more often and try to reconnect with that child inside yourself. Think that way again, have fun, and live life to the fullest! Approach life like a child. That makes everything so much more fun for everyone!

With love,

Priscilla

Message from a Chicken

Yes, you heard that right: a chicken! How fantastic! I had been assigned to read about five animals: three chickens, a cat, and a deceased chicken. The deceased chicken will have to wait a little longer, because I always prefer to make contact with an animal only after six months have passed since its death. Except for one animal, I had already read them all (is that how you say it? No idea!), and the last one was a chicken. Since I’d been sick with the flu, I started this session a bit later than planned, and the chicken jumped right in! Normally, I always introduce myself to the animal first and explain on whose behalf I’m there, but she had something to say first, and I’d love to share with you the beautiful message she had for all of us!

The Conversation

Chicken: “You were feeling under the weather, weren’t you?! I know, I was waiting for you, but you needed some self-care. And you know, you humans are so much quicker to be ‘bothered’ by things. Sometimes you need that, too. Strange, isn’t it? We animals don’t have that. We’re much better at taking care of ourselves—energy balance, that’s something we’re good at. If you humans would work on that a bit more, you’d have far less ‘trouble’ with so many things.”

Priscilla: “Could you explain that a little more?”

Chicken: “It all starts with energy. What belongs to you, what belongs to someone else. What you let in, and what you don’t. Energy is always flowing, but with humans, it sometimes flows away too much, and sometimes you let too much in. If your energy balance isn’t right, you get sick.”

Priscilla: “What’s the best thing we can do?”

Chicken: “Make sure you don’t absorb too much of other people’s energy and that you hold onto your own energy. Grounding, meditation, creating a protective field around yourself—but above all, your thoughts. Because that is your biggest energy drain. You think too much, worry, think about and on behalf of others, about the past and the future. Regret, fear, anger, worries, sadness. It’s a miracle you don’t all fall over!”

Priscilla: “What wise lessons!”

Chicken: “Yes, and this is for all humans.”

Further

After that, we talked about some personal matters, and then she came back with more words of wisdom.

Chicken: “Speaking of ages—do you ever really look at a child? How it thinks, plays, moves through life? Actually, just like animals—living in the moment, not dwelling too long on something that happened. Talk about it briefly, forget it, and move on. That is my message: take a closer look at a child sometimes, and try to reconnect with the child within yourself. To think that way again, to have fun, and to live! To approach life the way a child does. That makes everything so much more enjoyable for us humans!”

With love,

Priscilla
