Tuning into the Picasso energy
I’m in Barcelona for work, and on my day off, I decide to head into downtown Barcelona. But the city is huge!
I decide to narrow down my options a bit by looking up what I want to do in Barcelona. I decide to go to the Picasso Museum. Not that I’m a huge fan of museums—I usually just rush through them—but something tells me I want to go there. I decide to follow my instincts, put on my sneakers, and get ready for a long walk today.
I take the bus to the part of town closest to the Picasso Museum, and when I get off there, I find myself in a really nice part of Barcelona. I’m surprised, because the part of town I was in earlier was very businesslike, sprawling, and not very pleasant.
But this is really cute—narrow streets, the old part of town, a great atmosphere, crowded but pleasant. Little shops, tasty eateries, and my search for the museum begins.
When I arrived at the museum, I was right on time, because I had a timed ticket. The museum showcases Picasso’s various styles, and I find myself inspired. I see and read about his life and how he used to frequent a certain café. And once again, I feel that I should trust my intuition. It tells me that when I’m done here, I should go to that café.
I pull out the map and walk toward the café. Left, right, shops—it takes a bit of searching, but then, in that little alley, there it is. And it really is a café where quite a few tourists go. Tourist prices, tourist food—everything shows off all the celebrities who’ve been there—and I decide to just take it all in once I’m inside.
I don’t know exactly where he always sat, or if he had a regular spot in the café, but honestly, it doesn’t really matter. And I decide to close my eyes, take a moment to breathe calmly, and then connect with my higher self and, after that, with Picasso’s higher self.
The energy shifts; I feel different, and I know I’m connected.
I feel like my head is getting really big, really wide, and I’m starting to see things in a very creative way. As if everything just is. A kind of LCD trip? Not that I’ve ever used that stuff, but you know how they describe it in movies.
This is the first time I’ve done this very consciously, with someone I have no connection to. No connection in the sense that I’m trying to help someone—a recipient—make contact with their deceased loved one. I don’t know anyone who knew Picasso, so if he has a message, I can’t pass it on. But I feel that’s not the point anyway.
I feel that I’m allowed to tap into his energy out of love. Without judgment, without expecting anything in return, without wanting anything from it. I just want to experience it, and who knows—maybe it will bring me some inspiration. Now or later.
After a while, I leave the café again, and as I walk away—moving further away from the café—I slowly let the energy fade away.
That was so cool, and even though I didn’t get any creative inspiration, I did get the inspiration to tap into that energy more often when I feel the need.
With love,
Priscilla
Tuning into Picasso Energy
I’m in Barcelona for work and decide to head into the city center on my day off. But the city is huge!
I decide to narrow it down a bit by focusing on what I actually want to do in Barcelona. I choose to visit the Picasso Museum. Not that I’m much of a museum fan—I usually rush through them—but something tells me I need to go there. I decide to follow my intuition, put on my sneakers, and get ready for a long walk today.
I take the bus to the area closest to the Picasso Museum, and when I get off, I find myself in a really charming part of Barcelona. I’m surprised, because the area I was in before felt very corporate, grand, and not pleasant at all.
But this area is adorable—narrow streets, the old part of the city, full of character. Busy, but in a good way. Little shops, great places to eat, and so my search for the museum begins.
Once I arrive at the museum, I’m right on time—I have a ticket with a time slot. The museum showcases Picasso’s different styles, and I feel inspired. I see and read about his life and how he used to spend a lot of time at a certain café. Once again, I feel like I need to trust my intuition. It tells me: when you’re done here, go to that café.
I pull out my map and walk toward the café. Left, right, shops—I have to look around a bit, but then, in this little alley, there it is. And yes, it’s clearly a tourist spot. Tourist prices, tourist food, all kinds of pictures of celebrities who’ve visited. I decide to just sit down and take it all in.
I don’t know exactly where he used to sit, or if he had a favorite spot in the café, but honestly, that doesn’t matter. I decide to close my eyes, take a deep breath, and connect with my higher self—and then with Picasso’s higher self.
The energy shifts, I feel different, and I know I’m connected.
I get the feeling that my head gets really big, really wide, and I start to see things in a very creative way. As if everything is. Kind of like an LSD trip? Not that I’ve ever tried it, but you know how movies describe it.
This is the first time I’ve done something like this so consciously, with someone I have no personal connection to. No connection in the sense of trying to reach someone’s deceased loved one on behalf of someone else. I don’t know anyone who knew Picasso, so if he did have a message, I couldn’t pass it on. But I also feel that’s not the point.
I feel like I’m allowed to tap into his energy out of love. No judgment, no expectations, nothing in return, and without wanting anything from it. I just want to experience it—and who knows, maybe it will bring inspiration. Now or later.
After a while, I leave the café again, and as I walk away, farther and farther from the café, I slowly let the energy go.
What an amazing experience. And even though I didn’t receive any direct creative inspiration, I was inspired to tap into that energy more often—whenever I feel the call.

Priscilla
