Fatigue
Do you recognize that feeling of fatigue? Today, but actually it’s been going on for a few days—maybe even a few weeks.
You drag yourself back to your laptop time and time again, but you don’t get much done. You have plenty of ideas, but putting them into concrete form, getting them down on paper, or fleshing them out is difficult. I’ve been noticing this for a while now. At first, I thought I’d been working too much—but that wasn’t the issue either—so I dragged myself off to Ibiza for a quiet, offline week. I thoroughly enjoyed it and really let myself sink into the peace and relaxation—and then it hit me….
I was so exhausted, and even after a week, it was far from over—in fact, I still haven’t completely recovered. I’m really taking it easy, working less (luckily, that’s possible during the summer), and I’ll have to find a way to maintain this sense of calm even after the vacation. Anyway, so I’m taking it easier—I’m only scheduling two personal appointments a week, whereas before it was often one a day. I’m reading more, doing a little puzzle, lying on my spike mat more often, and practicing the Wim Hof breathing technique more frequently, but still, I remain tired. Until today, when a friend of mine said: it’s not our fault. It’s the energy that isn’t ours that we’re feeling. Energy from the collective. It’s making everyone tired and less positive.
I haven’t spoken to her in a while; she makes the most amazing chocolate and sells it at the market here in Amsterdam. We became friends through Instagram, and then, trusting me completely, she booked four sessions all at once. We clicked instantly and a beautiful friendship blossomed. I thought of her yesterday and sent her a message to see how she was doing. She asked how I was doing, and I told her honestly about my fatigue and listlessness. And you know, sometimes opening up and sharing what’s really going on is truly beautiful. Because you never know if you’re the only one dealing with it. And in this case, it turns out my lethargy and fatigue aren’t unique to me.
But now? I immediately did a short meditation/visualization in which I let all the energies that aren’t mine flow away, reclaimed my own energy, and placed a shield around me that low, negative energies can no longer penetrate.
And then this blog post came along; I felt that I should share it with you, along with a meditation.

Tired
Do you recognize that feeling of fatigue? Today, but actually for a few days now—maybe even weeks.
You drag yourself to your laptop every time, but you barely get anything done. So many ideas, yet turning them into something concrete or writing them down feels difficult. I’ve noticed this for a while now. At first, I thought I’d just been working too hard—which definitely plays a role—so I dragged myself to Ibiza for a quiet week offline. I truly enjoyed it, and I allowed myself to really sink into rest and relaxation, and then it hit me…
I was so exhausted, and after a week it still hadn’t gone away. In fact, I’m still not fully recovered. I’m really taking it easy—working less (thankfully, this is possible during the summer)—and I know I’ll need to find a way to keep up this slower pace even after the vacation. So, I’m taking it easier—I now schedule only two personal appointments per week, whereas before it was often one a day. I read more, do some puzzles, lie on my acupressure mat more often, and practice the Wim Hof breathing method more regularly. And yet, I still feel tired.
Just today—a friend of mine said, “It’s not us. It’s the energy we’re sensing that isn’t ours. It’s the collective energy. It’s making everyone feel tired and less positive.”
I hadn’t spoken to her in a while. She makes the most beautiful chocolate and sells it at the market in Amsterdam. We became friends through Instagram, and she trusted me enough to book four sessions with me at once. It was a beautiful connection and friendship that blossomed. I was thinking of her yesterday and sent her a message to see how she was doing. She asked how I was, and I told her honestly about my fatigue and lack of motivation. And you know, sometimes opening up and sharing what’s really going on is powerful. Because you don’t realize you’ve been carrying it alone. And in this case—it turns out the tiredness and lack of energy might not even be mine.
So now what? I immediately did a short meditation/visualization in which I released all the energies that didn’t belong to me, called my own energy back, and placed a shield around me to keep out low, negative energies.
And then I came across this blog. I felt compelled to share it with you—along with a meditation.
