Challenges Between Cats and Humans

Challenges Between Cats and People

During a reading

During a live reading, I felt very strongly the frustration a cat was feeling toward her human. Her human wasn’t really present, didn’t listen, was a perfectionist, and was smothering the cat. The cat felt as if she had no space of her own, so having a second cat in the house felt like a breath of fresh air. The cat regained her space; she wasn’t being watched as closely, and she felt less pressure from her human.

I noticed it myself during the reading—what the cat was trying to say. It was intense; I could feel her absence. She really wasn’t listening very well, and she didn’t seem to realize what was going on. She wanted to talk instead of listening. I also learned from this that I needed to reclaim my energy, that I had to get her to stop, and that I had to keep the focus on communicating with the cat.

No real attention

And while all that was going on, she was looking for the best photos of her cats and actually wanted to move right on to cats number 2 and 3 to ask about them as well.

So that was actually three readings in one. A challenge for me. But what do you do when someone isn’t listening? Not really listening—not to what I’m saying, and not to the cat’s feelings either.

She wanted to know if the new cat was a welcome addition. “YES!” was my—or rather, the cat’s—answer. I wrote everything down and gave her the report; the cat seemed a little calmer and relieved, but deep down she knew it wouldn’t change anything. There wasn’t enough genuine attention, but how do you handle that as an animal communicator? I had no choice but to quiet her down at times, keeping the focus on the conversation with the cat and the report. I sensed a challenge—one that the cat also felt—but this went on all day long. And what a relief that there was a new cat, so the attention could be shared. I hope this reading has helped the cat feel a little calmer, and that eventually it will sink in a bit with her human.

With love,

Priscilla

Challenges Between Cats and Their Owners

During a reading

During a live reading, I very strongly sensed the frustration a cat felt toward her human. Her human wasn’t really present, didn’t listen, was a perfectionist, and hovered over the cat. The cat felt as if she had no space, so when a second cat came into the house, it was a relief. She regained some space, wasn’t watched so closely, and felt less pressure from her human.

I noticed it myself as well during the reading—everything the cat meant. It was intense—I felt her absence; she really did listen very little and only half-heartedly, and she didn’t seem to realize what was really going on. She wanted to talk instead of listen. I also learned from this that I needed to reclaim my own energy, that I had to stop her at times and keep the focus on communicating with the cat.

No real attention

And while all of this was happening, she was looking for the cutest photos of her cats and was already eager to move on to cats number two and three to ask about them as well.

So, in fact, it turned into three readings in one. A challenge for me. But what do you do when a person doesn’t listen? Doesn’t really listen—not to what I say, and not to the cat’s feelings either.

She wanted to know if the new cat was a good addition. YES! was my answer—or rather, the cat’s answer. I wrote everything down and gave her the report. The cat felt a little calmer and relieved, but also knew deep down that nothing would really change. There was too little genuine attention. But how do you deal with this as an animal communicator? All I could do was sometimes quiet her down, keeping the focus on the cat and the reading. I felt it was a challenge—the same kind the cat felt, but all day long. And what a joy that there was a new cat, so the attention could be shared. I hope that this reading has helped the cat feel a little calmer, and that eventually, something will still get through to her human.

Priscilla
