Vacation and Your Pet<\/h2>\n
You can communicate with your pet, too!<\/h6>\n
Everyone has a sense that it’s already happening, but it can happen on a much deeper level than you’re currently experiencing.<\/p>\n
Especially with vacation time, your pet senses your stress, your excitement, your anticipation of relaxing, some sun on your skin, maybe a change of scenery. Whatever your vacation plans may be, it\u2019s palpable\u2014we can feel it in the energy, too. When I walk through Amsterdam now (in my own neighborhood), I feel that the energy is high\u2014purer, less frantic, much nicer\u2014and that\u2019s why I decided last year: I\u2019m staying in Amsterdam for the summer vacation! We\u2019re just going to Poland for a week to visit family, but that\u2019s it!   <\/p>\n
Back to our animals\u2014they sense and know instinctively what\u2019s about to happen. The moment you even think about it, they pick up on it! And that\u2019s exactly what animal communication is! It\u2019s really not much more complicated than that, and it can be incredibly valuable, especially now that you\u2019re looking forward to your vacation. Because what for you is something to look forward to is, for your animal, a moment of change, of tension, of not knowing exactly what\u2019s going to happen. They certainly pick up on a lot, but it\u2019s really nice if you take a moment to let them know what\u2019s coming and prepare them for what\u2019s about to happen.    <\/p>\n
But how exactly do you do this?<\/h6>\n
Choose a moment when you won\u2019t be interrupted; your pet doesn\u2019t have to be around, but it\u2019s nice if they are. You can speak out loud or in your mind\u2014in a serious, human way. So not in a childish voice, but as if you were talking to another adult. Tell him or her what a vacation means to you, what you\u2019ll be doing, how long you\u2019ll be away, and what will happen to the pet. Is the pet coming along? And how will that work? What kind of fun will the animal have? Will it stay at home, and how many nights will it be alone, or will someone take care of it? And, for example, with horses\u2014can the horse go on vacation too? That is, will it get a break from working for (and with) you? Who will take care of it? Or will the animal be staying somewhere else\u2014what can it expect there?            <\/p>\n
You may find yourself asking questions and thinking you’re just making this up. Just assume it’s the animal. Even if you don’t get any questions, know that the animal has understood you.  <\/p>\n

What kind of fun might they have? Are they staying home? How many nights will they be alone, or will someone be taking care of them? And for example, with horses\u2014do they get a little vacation too? Meaning, do they get time off from working with (and for) you? Who will take care of them? Or will your animal be staying somewhere else, and what can they expect there?           <\/p>\n
You might find questions popping into your mind and think you\u2019re making them up. Just assume it\u2019s your animal. Even if you don\u2019t get any questions in return, know that your animal has heard and understood you.  <\/p>\n
