{"id":2751,"date":"2024-02-13T18:46:05","date_gmt":"2024-02-13T17:46:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/soultalks.nl\/mediumship-part-2\/"},"modified":"2026-09-24T10:24:52","modified_gmt":"2026-09-24T08:24:52","slug":"mediumship-part-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/soultalks.nl\/en\/mediumship-part-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Mediumship, Part 2"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"2751\" class=\"elementor elementor-2751 elementor-576\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-05f1bef e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"05f1bef\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e5231b9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e5231b9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>I\u2019ve taken courses, attended training sessions, seminars, and the like many times, and I was often disappointed.<br\/>Were my expectations too high?<br\/>Was I already further along than the rest?<br\/>Did I sign up for the wrong course?<br\/>I have no idea, but it was actually always a letdown.<br\/>Before this course started, I told myself, \u201cThis course is going to blow my expectations out of the water. It\u2019s going to defy my expectations, and I\u2019m going to enjoy everything I learn. This is going to be fantastic.\u201d And so it came to pass\u2026\u2026 <\/p><p>There were seven of us women, including the course instructor. A really nice woman from Spain and her assistant were our instructors. Most of us had all experienced something or could see, feel, or perceive something we couldn\u2019t quite grasp\u2014something we wanted answers to or wanted to further develop our gift with.  <\/p><p>The class began with a meditation that helped us relax, but also boosted our energy.<br\/>I know that sounds a bit contradictory, but what we mean by this is the energy\u2014or frequency\u2014that allows you to tune into a higher frequency than the one we\u2019re usually in on a daily basis. (More on that below.) <br>They explained to us exactly what mediumship is, what forms it takes, and what our role as mediums will be.<\/p><p>Mediumship is the ability to communicate with the deceased\u2014or, more accurately, with the spiritual world. When the body dies, the soul lives on; however, most people can no longer perceive or communicate with that person with the naked eye. As a medium, you essentially serve as the conduit between the spiritual world and the human, earthly world. Therefore, you should not add your own spin to the story; otherwise, it becomes more of your own assumption than what is actually being conveyed.     <\/p><p>Because the spiritual world operates on a different frequency\u2014one with a faster vibration than ours\u2014you really have to make an effort to tune into that frequency. And the spiritual world is also expected to lower its vibrations slightly, so that you end up right in the middle. It was explained to me as being like an old radio: you have to search for the right frequency, and suddenly you\u2019ve found the station you were looking for\u2014but there\u2019s a lot of static in between.  <\/p><p>We did many exercises that day, such as sensing our own energy and, in that way, being able to distinguish between our own energy and that of a spirit.<\/p><p>But the best assignment came at the end of the class!<br>We began with a guided meditation in which we gave the spiritual world permission to come closer. I didn\u2019t know what to expect, since my only experience had been with apparitions.<br\/>We paired up in groups of two; one person was the recipient (meaning they received a message from someone they knew in the spiritual world), and the other was the medium (the messenger from the spirit in the spiritual world), and then we switched roles. <\/p><p>After we had \u201ctuned in,\u201d I started talking (I was receiving information, but how? More on that soon).<br\/>First with my eyes closed, then with my eyes open.<br\/>I saw a man in my mind\u2019s eye. A dark-skinned man, wearing a Hawaiian shirt and holding a beer in his hand. He stood with his arms outstretched, a big white smile on his face, as if he were in a cozy bar. He was a big man, bald, and incredibly cheerful. I continued speaking: \u201cI see an airplane\u2014does that mean anything to you?\u201d \u201cHe had always been an airplane mechanic,\u201d said the recipient. \u201cI see a jungle\u2014could it be that he lived there or was born there?\u201d \u201cYes, he\u2019s from the Moluccas,\u201d she said. I opened my eyes and looked straight into the recipient\u2019s tearful eyes. \u201cYou\u2019re describing my father exactly.\u201d I\u2019d made contact with her father\u2014wow! She was so moved by it, and she thought it was so beautiful that her father, through me, wanted to communicate with her for a moment.           <\/p><p>The course instructor stood next to me and said, \u201cAsk the spirit how he died.\u201d<br\/>I saw something like a swamp, a small ditch in a garden. With a very small bridge and a rope. Not a rope in the sense that he had been hanged, but the rope was lying on the ground.<br\/>I wasn\u2019t yet able to determine the exact cause of death, but I did know that he had died at that location. And that was correct.<br\/>I also asked the spirit to tell me something distinctive about the funeral, and he told me he had been buried in a light wood-colored coffin.<br\/>Finally, I asked him, \u201cDo you have a message for her?\u201d \u201cEnjoy life,\u201d he said.<br\/>This message really hit home!
