Challenges Between Cats and People<\/strong><\/h2>
During a reading <\/b><\/h6>

During a live reading, I felt very strongly the frustration a cat was feeling toward her human. Her human wasn\u2019t really present, didn\u2019t listen, was a perfectionist, and was smothering the cat. The cat felt as if she had no space of her own, so having a second cat in the house felt like a breath of fresh air. The cat regained her space; she wasn\u2019t being watched as closely, and she felt less pressure from her human. <\/p>

I noticed it myself during the reading\u2014what the cat was trying to say. It was intense; I could feel her absence. She really wasn\u2019t listening very well, and she didn\u2019t seem to realize what was going on. She wanted to talk instead of listening. I also learned from this that I needed to reclaim my energy, that I had to get her to stop, and that I had to keep the focus on communicating with the cat. <\/p>

No real attention<\/h6>

And while all that was going on, she was looking for the best photos of her cats and actually wanted to move right on to cats number 2 and 3 to ask about them as well.<\/p>

So that was actually three readings in one. A challenge for me. But what do you do when someone isn’t listening? Not really listening\u2014not to what I’m saying, and not to the cat’s feelings either. <\/p>

She wanted to know if the new cat was a welcome addition. \u201cYES!\u201d was my\u2014or rather, the cat\u2019s\u2014answer. I wrote everything down and gave her the report; the cat seemed a little calmer and relieved, but deep down she knew it wouldn\u2019t change anything. There wasn\u2019t enough genuine attention, but how do you handle that as an animal communicator? I had no choice but to quiet her down at times, keeping the focus on the conversation with the cat and the report. I sensed a challenge\u2014one that the cat also felt\u2014but this went on all day long. And what a relief that there was a new cat, so the attention could be shared. I hope this reading has helped the cat feel a little calmer, and that eventually it will sink in a bit with her human. <\/p>

All I could do was sometimes quiet her down, keeping the focus on the cat and the reading. I felt it was a challenge\u2014the same kind the cat felt, but all day long. And what a joy that there was a new cat, so the attention could be shared. I hope that this reading has helped the cat feel a little calmer, and that eventually, something will still get through to her human. <\/p>

Challenges Between Cats and Humans During a Reading<\/p>\n

During a live reading, I sensed a female cat\u2019s frustration with her owner, who didn\u2019t listen much and put a lot of pressure on her.
